Some of my favorite things to make....

You know the little packages of kleenex that always seems to get destroyed in the bottom of your purse and you end up throwing half of the package in the trash? I found the solution ...... zippered tissue cases. I love making these cases and as soon as my Elle gets home from the sewing machine hospital I will be making more. It is amazing how you can take the same fabric and use different color zippers and create different looks/

I have a couple dozen made up but these apparently are the only ones I have taken a picture ......

Not doing to good....

Well my attempt at the book review was a flop so I thought I would blog about my crafting. As you can see I haven't done well blogging about that either. It's easier for me to post pics of items I have made rather than writing so I will do just that.....

In February of this year I decided to try selling my items at a craft show. I considered my first two shows as being successful since I at least made my entry fee back plus a little profit. However, my third show was a total disaster. I don't think it had anything to do with the items I was selling or the economy, I believe it was due to failure on the coordinator's part to advertise the event. My display setup is a work in progress; after each (profitable) show I try to add something new.

It's hard to see what items are on the table but they are hand towels, embroidered toilet paper, hot/cold corn therapy bags and baby (knit) cocoon wraps. The small baskets hanging on the grid panel contain key rings and travel size tissue holders.
Here are a couple of pics that my daughter-in-law took of my booth at the last show:

Book reviewer attempt a flop

Well, my attempt at book reviewing was not-so-good, or maybe it was the first book I received to review. I just could not get into the book. Maybe I should try blogging about something I enjoy ..... crafts.

After years of wanting an embroidery/sewing machine I finally purchased one in October 2009. I got a Babylock Sofia. It's just a small machine with a 4x4 embroidery capability but I love it. It does embroidery as well as regular sewing. I'm sure my family and friends get tired of seeing and/or hearing about my projects but they love me anyway.

Joining the blogging world

I have signed up to be a book review blogger and have requested my first book:

What's He REALLY Thinking? by Paula Rinehart

I spend way too much time playing Farm Town on Facebook so maybe this will get me busy doing something actually productive. I used to love to read but stopped several years ago. I need to do something that makes my brain actually work. :D
