(entries closed) Book Giveaway: Audrey Bunny by Angie Smith
About the Author
Angie Smith is the wife of Todd Smith (lead singer of Dove Award
winning group Selah), best-selling author of Mended, I Will Carry
You, and What Women Fear, and one of the most popular speakers and
blog writers in the country. She holds a Master’s degree in Developmental
Psychology from Vanderbilt University and lives with her husband and daughters
in Nashville, TN.
Book description from Amazon:
From best-selling women’s author Angie Smith (I Will Carry
You, Mended) comes this sweet children’s book about a stuffed animal named
Audrey Bunny who fears her imperfections make her unworthy of a little girl’s
love. She'll learn the truth soon enough, and young readers will learn that
everyone is special and wonderfully made by God.
Book description from the book cover of the book:
Looking out from the barrel of stuffed animals at the toyshop, Audrey Bunny is afraid her imperfections make her unworthy of being chosen to receive a little girl's love. She'll learn the truth soon enough, and young readers will learn that everyone is special and wonderfully made by God.
My review:
The book is colorfully illustrated. This story about a little girl and her "imperfect" bunny is a wonderful way to teach children that even with our imperfections we were wonderfully made by God. At the back of the book there is a "Parent Connection" page which gives some questions that parents can discuss with their child(ren). I highly recommend this book for anyone with a child in their life.
(At this time Audrey Bunny is #1 in Christian Books on Amazon)

(entries closed) Book giveaway: Roma Downey's Little Angels Prayers for Every Day
About the book: Little Angels Prayers for Every Day by Roma Downey features
more than 50 simple rhyming prayers that cover a typical day and the
typical worries of a young child. From waking in the morning to going to
sleep at night, from thanking God for a meal to praying for His comfort
when afraid, the prayers here will help little ones to see that any
moment is a good moment to talk to God. Relevant Bible verses are
scattered throughout the book as well!
My review about the book: I love this book. It is a hardback book and the cover is softly padded. The pages are cardboard so it will last a long time. As you can see from the picture it is very well illustrated with brightly colored pictures. All the prayers are short and easy for little ones to read and understand. The topics that are covered are prayers for morning, praise, thanks, mealtimes, others, help, guidance, forgiveness, comfort, and bedtime.
This is a great little book and is perfect for that special child in your life.

I needed to get a birthday gift for the attorney I work with but couldn't think of anything to get him. I decided to attempt making my first snack bouquet. I guess it turned out pretty decent. He loved it. He said he sent a pic of it to his girlfriend so she could see what he got and she was impressed.
Items needed to make a snack bouquet:
Snacks/candy bars
Small dowel rod (I used wooden skewer sticks)
Glue gun*
Curling Ribbon
Coffee mug or other container
Styrofoam block
If you are using a clear container you might want to use a piece of tissue paper to
hide the styrofoam which is why I used the tissue paper in the one in the picture.
*for the Cheez-Its and cookies I used a clear, wide sealing tape instead
of the glue gun to attach the item to the stick.
